Verbage: Long story short: Spammers started spoofing non-existent email address so it appeared they came from my web site. I was bombarded with a flood of bounced back emails. I contact my web host to have them shut down the the things that may be causing this. At this point I need to make an assumption: the web company no longer has anyone with a double digit IQ working for them because they shut down my account for, you guessed it: Spamming. Yes, spamming that I was not doing. Spamming that I informed them of. Of course, they did not tell me they were suspending the account and would not return emails and phone calls for a week. Eventually I found out what happened and they told they would open my account back up if I stopped spamming. Ever wanted to reach through the computer screen and throttle the person's neck on the other end until blood spurted from their eyes? In the kindest words possible I informed them I had not been spamming anyone and they should get a freakin' clue as to what was going on. So, I guess I'll be looking for another company to deal with in the near future. Was that the short version? Actually, it was, be glad I didn't give you the long one. Keep the backup plan bookmarked in case those kids stumble again.
Anyway, back to bikes. Been riding them a bunch, having a good time, knocking out some miles here and there, on dirt, gravel and pavement. Pick from the quiver and see what happens. Mojo rising? Seemed like it when A. Neal and I hit dawn patrol on Saturday, fixed gear style on the MTB's in the rocky goodness of the Shed. Seventy degrees F with heavy humidity when I woke at 6am. Beat the heat? We tried but not sure we succeeded, only beat the hottest part of the day. No matter, things were flowing, even with the rocks and roots covered with dampness and sweat pouring in your eyes. Solo gravel and pavement fixed action the next day, up the mountain and down the mountain chasing ghost riders and banging out a quick 40 miles. Fork swapping between the Qball and Kelly, shake down dirt commute on the Kelly Tuesday. Ready to rock for SSWC. Leave on a jet plane for Scotland tomorrow. Updates may not happen while I'm gone but I'll do it if I can. I'm sure there will be updates at the usual spots like MTBR and DirtRag, so check their websites for timely chatter.
