Here's What's on Tap  //   Friday - October 1, 2010

Ben Sollee at Cafe Nola The unwritten ride reports continue to pile up despite best intentions. Too many balls in the air I suppose. Vermont? It seems like a long time ago but you should know that the Kingdom Trails and the Perry Hill Trails are worth a visit if you are ever in East Burke or Middlebury respectively.

Last week Ben Sollee came through town on his Ditch The Van tour. The band and support crew are touring by bike. Very cool concept and the music was great too. Check them out if you can. After that was a trip to Douthat State park, a fine singletrack venue deep in Virginia. Great riding despite my big string of flats. This Saturday trail work takes place for the connector trail between Schaeffer Farms and Clopper Lake, so grab a tool and head out if you can. Sunday is a workday at the Watershed.

And October 10th is the first annual Frederick Bicycle Coalition BBQ and Bike rides. Mountain bike rides at the Watershed, road rides and a potluck cookout at Cunningham Falls State Park. Come out and celebrate our first year in action. Full details here.
