Updates  //   Wednesday - December 16, 2009

There was a great turnout Monday night for the Loch Raven meeting at REI in Timonium. MORE, IMBA and some individuals met with City officials and staff to discuss the current crackdown on singletrack mountain bike access and what can be done to come to a compromise. The parties agreed the current management plan is outdated and needs to be revisited. A new working group is being formed to begin working on this. Big thanks to those who sat down at the table and big thanks to all who showed up at REI. We packed the room and had about 225 riders present.

Send a note of thanks to Mayor Dixon, Councilwoman Mary Pat Clarke and Council President Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. Within one week of mountain bikers sending them emails about this issue, they have sat down with us and are willing to work with us. Make sure they know we appreciated it.

If you couldn't make it out, Jim B. shot some video of the meeting and edited it down to 5 minutes of highlights.

Loch Raven meeting tonight  //   Monday - December 14, 2009

Just a reminder, tonight, Monday Dec. 14th at 7pm, there will be a meeting between City officials and mountain bikers to discuss trail access at Loch Raven reservoir. We need you to be there. Details about the situation can be found at

Completely unrelated and it has nothing to do with bikes, but if you like swinging tunes and cool black and white animation, you should spend 3 minutes jamming out to this.
